The Hand Behind the Pencil
Just a year ago, I picked up a set of coloured pencils and began a creative journey that has brought me so much joy. What started as a simple hobby quickly became a passion, as I discovered the incredible detail, depth and beauty that can be achieved with coloured pencil artwork.
I especially love creating pet portraits, capturing the unique personality, expression and spirit of beloved companions. From soulful eyes to soft fur, every portrait is a celebration of the special bond between pets and their owners.
Nature is another constant source of inspiration. Delicate flowers, vibrant plants and the beauty of the natural world provide endless opportunities to explore colour, texture and light.
Although I've only been drawing with coloured pencils for a year, each piece reflects the dedication, patience and enjoyment I've found in learning this wonderful medium. I'm excited to continue developing my skills and sharing my artwork with others who appreciate pets, plants and the beauty found in everyday moments.
I use mainly Faber-Castell Polychromos, Derwent Drawing and Caran d'Ache Luminance pencils. They are all lightfast so will not fade in the light.

I'm always excited to hear from new commissions. Whether you're looking for a hand-drawn portrait of your furry companion or a custom gift, I'd love to hear about your project.
All commissions are on a custom price depending on what you require...size, one pet or more, background etc. There are some guide costs below to give you an idea of costs.
Once you have emailed me your interest, we will have an in depth discussion on what you would like and if you would like to proceed I will email you a detailed pdf with the instructions on how to give me your best reference photo to work from (or you can download it from the link). A 50% non refundable deposit of the full agreed price would apply at booking stage, the rest of the payment on completion.
These are just guide prices for a portrait with a single pet and no background. Prices would include a backing board and a mount bevelled top board with no frame.
